Designer Beaded Anklet Measuring Guide
Anklets have a long and rich history across the globe. Over the years, women from many cultures have used beaded ankle bracelets to create a sexy appearance, show their wealth, signal marital status, attract a suitor, and/or attract attention to their lovely, well groomed, feet. Consider that the use of anklet bracelets may have been the precursor to the modern pedicure, painted toenails, and high heels.
Anklets, of any design or style, can be worn above or below your ankle bone.
Measuring for you new anklet is as easy as measuring for a new bracelet. Simply wrap a string or soft measuring tape around your ankle (either above or below the bone, where you are most comfortable wearing it). Take that number and add 1/2" to 1" for overall comfort. That is your anklet size.
For example: If your anklet measures 8" then your anklet size will be 8.5" to 9".
Did you know?
In the United States both casual and more formal anklets became fashionable in the late twentieth century.
