Handmade Pink Castle Cake

Back in February I had created a pink castle cake for one of my niece's birthdays. I mentioned it on this featured blog post but plain forgot to post the pictures on how well it turned out!

You see my niece loves princesses -and pink! So I got creative, using a Wilton cake decorating kit my husband bought me as a gift one Christmas, and created this pink castle cake. I was inspired by one I found on the internet but I changed alot of it and added my own touches. We also gave her a princess dress to dress up in and we actually found a doll that had on the same exact dress we bought her -it was perfect! Most of all, she loved it and to this day always begs to put that princess dress on.
The only glitch -I really stink at ages...and she was actually only 3 years old, not 4. Eh, I don't think she really cared the number was wrong. Isn't it so great have girly-girl nieces to dote on!

Wow! You did a fantastic job! Very nice!

BTW - I like the pic in your header of your jewelry making tools!

Thanks Cathy! I did want the pink to be a little lighter in color but it was all good!

Thanks too for your comment on my new header. Still playing with ideas but I do like this one (maybe if I can actually clean my studio I could get a picture with more in it!). Did you notice my sparkly glasses in the front slot?! :-)

I'm the same way with ages of my nephews and nieces. Anyway that's one lucky little girl who has a sparkly jewelrymaking aunt. How about a tiara or two?
